My most important lesson learned was not learned until after I became 30 years old. That lesson is "You have to pick your battles wisely because you cannot win them all."

I did not realize how true this was until entering into corporate America. There are so many things that I saw and knew were wrong. I wanted to champion every cause but realized there are not enough hours in a day to try and take on every problem or issue.
